The 1941 house for sale resembles Gropius's own 1938 house, now a museum, in Lincoln, Massachusetts, especially when seen from the front (top photo), while the contrast between the rough stone surface and lacquered timber recalls Breuer’s own 1939 house, also in Lincoln.
