Since our founding in 1985, we have been internationally recognized for redefining sustainable architecture. Our supergreen® approach integrates environmental, social and economic sustainability into a holistic design philosophy that goes beyond conventional green building standards. Each project begins with a deep engagement with its site, capturing its genius loci and aligning it with universal principles of well-being, functionality, aesthetics and economic viability. Our goal is to create architecture that is greater than the sum of its parts - solutions that not only perform but inspire. We view building projects as integral systems, where architecture, interiors and landscapes merge into a coherent overall experience.
Our multidisciplinary approach, supported by a well-established network of skilled and innovative design partners, enables us to deliver projects with the highest precision and design excellence. Whether designing sprawling neighbourhoods, high-density skyscrapers or finely scaled interiors, our architecture is guided by the same commitment to quality and special attention to detail. We create living environments across a range of scales and uses - from largescale urban developments, office, residential and hotel projects to specialist healthcare, cultural and educational buildings. Notable projects include the RWE Tower in Essen, the European Investment Bank in Luxembourg, the Lufthansa Headquarters at Frankfurt Airport, 1 Bligh in Sydney, the Marina One complex in Singapore, and Kö-Bogen II in Düsseldorf - home to Europe’s largest green façade.
All our projects meet the highest sustainability standards and consistently achieve the world’s highest certifications, including LEED, Green Star (Australia), BREEAM (UK), DGNB (Germany), Minergie (Switzerland), Green Mark (Singapore) and CASBEE (Japan).
Since our foundation by Christoph Ingenhoven, our work has been honored with numerous prestigious awards, including the Global Holcim Awards Gold, the CTBUH Tall Building Award, multiple MIPIM Awards, and the RIBA International Award. Most recently, we were also recognised as a company with the German Sustainability Award 2025.
